“ This was a random stop for us as we traveled down 81 and were looking for something to eat. The reviews are right....this is a great restaurant! It doesn't have an expansive menu, but I think there is something for everyone. We tried the plantains and horchata, as recommended in other customer reviews and were not disappointed. I'd also add the Salvadoran tamale to that list of recommendations. In addition we had the burria tacos, cheese pupusa and cheese & beef pupusas. Everything was fabulous and the gentleman working and waiting on our table was extremely kind and helpful. We will definitely return on a future road trip! ”

“ The place has a hole in the wall vibe and was not busy on the evening I stopped by. I received a serving of chips and salsa up front, and decided to compliment them with a horchata that I did not need, but which immediately convinced me that this place uses some proper ingredients based on its slightly bubblegum-like taste that is distinctive to the region. My pupusas came with an excellent set of accompaniments and were bursting with flavor. The cheese was a bit on the salty side, but the beans were delicious, and the distinctive mix of textures you get when you combine a freshly grilled pupusa with the lightly fermented cabbage distinctive to the cuisine is excellent. There were some herbal notes in there, and the salsa was brightly flavored. It really is a fascinating mix of flavors distinctive to the Americas. Also a lot of food for the money. While the menu had a handful of vegetarian options, some of their staples were not offered this way and it seemed to be they could be with ease. And I would really like to see them do some dairy-free options and those beans and some vegetables would make a pupusa that I think people would want. ”

“ Amazing! We happened to choose this place on our way from PA back to SC. It is not far off 81 and definitely worth the 8-10 min detour. The chips and salsa were delicious. We ordered the horchata, carne asada burrito, and a chicken quesadilla. All were excellent! The gentleman running the place was very nice and friendly as well. We will definitely come back the next time we travel to see family! ”

“ Fantastic place. My daughter goes to Virginia Tech and in two years had not found a restaurant we loved until we ended up at Latino's Taste. Fantastic experience, all around. Start with the very friendly and helpful server, who I am guessing is the owner. His enthusiasm got me expecting a great meal from the start and I wasn't disappointed. Our table shared the fried plantains, probably the best I've ever had. They were perfectly ripe and I never had them so caramelized before. They were so sweet it tasted like they had sugar on them (luckily I ordered them with sour cream for dipping, otherwise it would have been too sweet). The pupusas were also excellent. I had beef and cheese and they had both a good flavor but also over flowing with fillings. I also treated one of my pupusas for my daughter's birria taco, it was also great. Tender and flavorful meat. This is now my favorite place in the entire Blacksburg-Radford-Christiansburg region (plus a good place to avoid the crowds on football weekends). ”

It was filled with energy and made me excited for the dish I ordered. I'm a fan of Birra tacos so as it was presented I didn't pass up the opportunity. The tacos smacked hard , full of ingredients, hot , and 100% a master class in flavor. I highly recommend this location , the service and the flavor. ”

“ This place is amazing, we were in the area and wanted a quick bite to eat. Now we come back every time we're nearby. Food is very authentic, honestly comparable to the pupusas I had in El Salvador. The service is amazing, all the staff and owners are so kind and attentive. Highly recommend the pupusas, grilled shrimp, and burritos. We also love the yucca appetizer. the best and most authentic Salvadorean food around! ”
